Moscow Mitch is going to protect Trump at all cost. Remember the Merrick Garland fiasco, where he refused to hold even one hearing? He'll make up rules that greatly favor the Republicans and make the Democrats virtually powerless, and then he'll have the GOP senators vote for them.
Does the Constitution say the Senate trial has to be held immediately after receiving the articles of impeachment from the House? Does it say how long the trial has to be, or whether each party can bring in a lawyer to represent it? How many other ways can Mitch screw the Dems?
