5. This is the same kind of existential threat our grandparents' generation faced in WWII.

The potential collapse of western civilization.

But the good people of their generation found their strength, pulled themselves together, focused and made the sacrifices they had to, to get done what they had to. They were put to a true test, facing multiple, powerful, scary enemies.

But they didn't roll over, they didn't give up. When they finally won, they came out on the other side having learned so much about who they were and the ideas that made this country worth fighting for. We are still learning in that regard, but we are going to win this.
