so many years (me, at least 40+ years), and they have the nerve to try and take away or shrink our SS pay by claiming that the deficits are out of control, despite them constantly increasing the military budget by an obscene amount.

What's more important, SS pay for our elderly or a military budget that's out of control? I'd say that the health and welfare of our SS beneficiaries is more important, so they won't go hungry, or lack for anything. Even the SS amounts are too small by far for many of seniors and that's a crime in itself. Don't get me wrong, I know that a strong military is important too, for our safety and security, but how much is enough?
