4. The ad is obnoxious, to be sure

What, you don't go out and spend $100,000 on motor vehicles without consulting your spouse? Loser!

I had a friend who had what he called "rathole money." It was the amount of money he or his wife could spend without checking with the other. When they first got married, it was twenty bucks. Years later, it had gone up to a hundred bucks. I can't imagine the scenario where I'd do what that commercial depicts.
