All those books written on human psychology started being put to heavy use by someone who recognized early on the impact that properly structured right wing talk radio could have on a significant portion of the electorate.

Introduce the appropriate stressors and they can predict what you will do in a given situation an alarming percentage of the time. Anyone who listens to talk radio can be affected. It’s just predominantly evident in conservatives because of their mindset.

I’ve watched it happen to my mother. She raised me with a liberal, upbeat outlook on life. I caught her listening to Savage some time ago and warned her that sooner or later, she would find his words coming out of her mouth. Sure enough, they got her. She defended W, and fervently hoped with trump that the office would make the man.

And as destructive as it is, this behavior is affirming for them. You can’t get them to not think this way once the grooming has taken over.
