Enbrel for RA. It has to be refrigerated during shipping and needs to get here within 24 hours. Doubt it could be sent here from some other country in a timely manner. I looked up what it cost in Canada and it cost between $25000 and $72000 a year. I’m fortunate to have federal employee insurance that pays the majority of it. I take one shot a week. If I get sick, I can’t take it because the drug along with another drug I have to take, suppress my immune system. The other drug is methotrexate which is used to treat cancer. It has been used to treat RA for many years. I have taken it for 35 years. Luckily it is fairly cheap. I like my health insurance, and was told not to get rid of it because Medicare or supplement insurance will in no way cover it as well as my insurance I have now. Now maybe you understand my fear of losing my employer insurance.
