Sorry to hear that.

Your Brother sounds like someone who has been indoctrinated into a cult. That's different from just having a partisan bias or strong views. His responses obviously sounded canned, (programmed sound bytes) and devoid of personal analysis, insight or reflection.

I guess it is easier to just fall into a media trance, for some, rather than to make the effort to see through it. We have so much toxic media parading as news and valid sources of information now that it is hardly surprising.
