(2,921 posts)Has her fever ever exceeded 101F? I understand your concern but do you know if the other person still has a fever? Has that person recovered? Has that person been tested?
What is her age?
Has she ever had any pulmonary issues at all (i.e. asthma)?
It requires masks, gloves, staff time and space to test people.
The majority of people that are being tested at this point have the flu.
If she was sent home from work because someone had a fever, has she contacted her workplace to see whether that person tested positive?
There's would index case right there if so.
So if she is in distress, over 60, or has a pre-existing respiratory issue she could easily demand to be tested. They would test her for the flu at least.
But so far it sounds like the flu.
