we would look into more online working. There are a lot of jobs that can be done online, or at least partially. This would have ecological benefit, and would also help with things like child care. I'm lucky that as an academic I've always been able to do at least some of my work at home, which meant not having to sign my kid up for fulltime child care.

I also hope that this will be a lesson in the importance of government and competent leadership.



...And as a church person, I hope this will bring an end to the weekly "passing of the peace" (aka weekly exchange of the germs), which I've always hated!
