I was on a job in South Carolina in around 1979 and will never forget switching channels and seeing Bakker on his late night preaching show (before his big financial train wreck) literally on his knees begging for people to mail him $500 checks for which he promised dedicated prayers.
My how times changed for him and now he's back grifting again. That's why Trump's rise was not so surprising.
I figure if Trump had been impeached, he too would be right back grifting on TV within a month and probably sucessful....
