12. When I do go to the store, I keep distance from people

Use my debit card to pay and wash my hands before, during (since my bladder is about the size of a walnut), and after. I only touch the stuff I will actually buy, noto being as selective as usual.

I don't know if we can get deliveries and frankly I'd rather go myself than have some unknown delivery person coming here.

Our biggest exposure is that we have construction crews every day. This weekend they are putting the new roof on. Next week they will be completing the exterior siding and trim. So really, the electrician, air conditioning installer, and the drywall people will be the most invasive, if we can get that far before stuff is shut down. Oh! I forgot about the painters.

I do stay away from the crews and so far they have all been outside. But we're not done...

I think despite our ages (I'm still 67 though only a few months behind my husband) we both have pretty good immune systems. I've had a bunch of major operations and not one infection after any of them. A few years ago what I thought was my husband with a stomach ache turned out to be a burst appendix. Even with multiple pockets of infection, he healed up quickly once they were drained. We eat healthy and are careful.

AS I said, though, there are people who rely on him and they are his biggest exposure. I think I need to sit down with him about making sure he and they wash their hands regularly. One of his friends has had several strokes and he is not sharp mentally so he may have trouble remembering.
