(81,220 posts)every week - EVERY FUCKING WEEK - during 2016. Even after Hillary got the nomination, she was never offered a paltry single night on Hayes's show in the interest of "equal time".
I couldn't help but suspect that Chris Hayes sincerely believed Bernie would be the nominee, and ultimately win, and would remember Hayes fondly for all that free weekly publicity. I kept having to fight off the feeling that Hayes was trying to cozy up to Bernie so he'd get the job of White House Press Secretary in a Bernie Sanders administration. It just reeked of nonstop audition.
I haven't liked Chris Hayes since then. If his head's on the block, GOOD. He's got a very coveted prime time show, Monday through Friday, and there are other more distinguished and more worthy anchors and reporters who could handle that hour every weeknight. Rachel Maddow could use a better lead-in.
