and people go to work sick all the time when there is no sick leave and shitty wages prevent them from saving enough to tide them over when they get sick. This is an indictment of the shitty US system that does nothing to protect the people from the powerful, not an indictment of a hairdresser.

Likely she though she wasn't sick enough to have the illness. When I had presumptive, I knew that if I'd been in my 20s, I might have blown it off if I had no sick leave and only shitty wages.

This is pointing up the serious flaws that Cheap Labor Conservatism has perpetuated in order to maximize the gravy train the billionaires are enjoying.

I doubt she had a choice. She didn't feel well, but she'd gone to work not feeling well before.

I just hope she and her clients live through it and that they're deeply angry about this, and at the appropriate people and none of those people is one particular hairdresser.
