In reply to the discussion: "You cannot love your fellow man if you don't love God." [View all]WePurrsevere
(24,259 posts)21. Exactly! Gospel Jesus said, "by their fruits you will know them"...
Matthew 7:15-20
15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
As some here will know, this is part of Jesus's 'Sermon on the Mount'. Too bad more 'christians' don't actually read ALL of it with their comprehensive skills actually engaged and choose to follow the teachings of Jesus not those false prophet 'evilgelical' profiteers who are so popular.

Maybe some of these self-described Christians could try loving their fellow man.

Well judging from his actions, in wanting to kill older people, he does not love God....
