17. What is wrong with setting a return date for General Elrction ballots?

Jun 2020

The candidates and issues are known, why do voters wait. I would set October 20 as the last possible return date for ballots and insure that is widely stated on radio and newscasts. Any ballots arriving after close of business on October 20 would be thrown in the trash, with representatives of all parties witnessing them being discarded.

I grates me to no end when I hear people bragging about how they dropped their ballot into the mail or a collection box on Election Day, that is fucking irresponsible, IMO. Ballots like that should be thrown away.

Is this is what we can expect in November? [View all] Proud liberal 80 Jun 2020 OP

If exit polls and early results are solid enough, we could still get a winner on Election Day. Tommy_Carcetti Jun 2020 #14
