(26,500 posts)5. The way I see it. I'm reminded of when we elected our first woman Governor in PR.
The previous (Rosselló) administration had fucked the country up so bad. That when 'Sila' Calderón tried to fix it. It seemed a near impossible task. Then 4 years later. The PNP scumbags came back like "See? These people can't govern!". Even though it was their fucking mess being cleaned up. Even worse, it worked. They were back in power after 8 years of looting the treasury and destroying the Healthcare system.
I have next to zero confidence in the people of The United States of Amnesia. This will take decades to fix. But I can't imagine a population with the attention span of a mosquito having the patience this will require.
