The argument goes that if you lift the cap, then the wealthy should be paid more per month because they never get back what they paid in.
So what? You know who else never gets back what they paid in? People who die before reaching retirement age. People who die within a year or two of retiring.
No one has to do anything.
BTW - statistically, the rich are in better health than the general populace, live longer and draw more $ out of the SS system than does the average American.
