This conversation is one of many and he’s someone I know very well. We will definitely talk again. But he’s laughed off some things about Trump and even today said something like protesters should be “sprayed.”

Here’s the thing. He’s a nice person in many ways. I simply cannot be “nice” and hide my feelings when lives are at stake—especially somebody so close who barely escaped death.
