B52's are not tactical aircraft in 2020 by any stretch. They reached their peek in the 1960's for xmas sakes.

It is just sabre rattling. The only value they have is after air defenses are gone and large population centers are targets.

Just about any functional aa system can take them out. As can most modern fighters in groups.

There are better options to lob cruise missiles. These are antiques.
