13. I quit LinkedIn at least 10 years ago, after minimal contact

I never found anything useful at LinkedIn. It was sort of "Facebook for working people" that morphed into a way to distribute your resume without having to physically mail pieces of paper around. None of that interested me, and I quit the site within a couple of months after I joined. Thank goodness I was smart enough to only give them my work email, not my personal email address.

Well guess what? Like every other social media-type thing, they collected their members' contact info and continued to use it (and probably sell it) whenever possible. I used to get spam and unwanted emails regularly, and they're probably still selling my name. I've been retired 3 years, having never participated in any LinkedIn activities of any kind. Even after I die, I'll still be a commodity to them. Fuck them all - Facebook too.
