(21,722 posts)6. I had a test a month ago as I was running a low grade fever
I called my insurance advice nurse and was told to take test. While waiting to talk to nurse, I went online to county covid website and booked a free test for the next morning. My insurance would pay for a test but I had already booked the county test. I went to a pop up (held one day a week) testing site at a local church and was signed in and went to a technician who tested me. It was annoying but not painful. Took 5 minutes for entire visit. I got negative results by email about 12 hours later.

That's the type I had. The doctor did it and did each nostril for about 10 seconds.

I had the saliva test as well... and it is surprisingly diffucult to produce that much.

Yes. I had it done by appointment in the parking lot of a local walk-in clinic.
