4. I understand why, though

It's not Obama per say, but the fact that there is so much riding on this election. Rmoney is the most noxious and all around worst candidate I've ever seen in my lifetime. He and Ryan would be horrific for this country - and we thought Bush was bad?

And then there's President Obama. He's shown that he is working hard and doing the best he can in spite of really shitty odds with the Republicans cockblocking him at every turn. I literally love this man. Don't always agree with him, and have felt some disappointment over the years, but I LOVE the guy because he is a good, honorable, decent human being with excellent leadership capabilities.

So that being said, I think people on DU want to see him kick the arrogant asshole's butt, and we all know he can. But the truth is, the Prez is much better at campaigning and Presidentin' than he is at debating - he's not one to fluff out his feathers just for show. He has some humility. On the other hand, Mitt can lie out his ass like the greasiest, sleeziest, slickest used car salesman. Most people have this man's number. His performance last night was a good thing because I'll bet even more Dems are going to make damn sure they get to the polls than before the debate, LOL.
