isn't about this need everyone is talking about the go after Trump. That's probably not going to happen regardless because of the massive number of pardons coming down the line. Those cases are going to need to be handled in other ways such as at the state level or simply by declassifying documents to shed light on things that went on and through public congressional hearings. We might not be able to prosecute, but we can have a public trial in the media and let every person in the country be their own jury.

Nominating Doug Jones shows a commitment to taking on systemic racism across the country. Jones won his Senate seat because of historical black support in Alabama because of his willingness to bring klansmen to trial and get justice for things that happened years ago. It would have been very easy for him to say those things were in the past, but he didn't. He's not only willing to have these fights, he's looking to have them.
