I am totally confident that if Hunter had done anything that could be used against him (and by association, his dad), he would have told Joe before he sought the nomination.
He would have told him there was something that, if looked into/exposed, could hurt his candidacy if nominated, and could potentially cost him the election. At that point, Joe would have dropped out of contention, rather than jeopardize a Democratic win against Trump.
The Hunter Biden laptop story was so ludicrous, even FOX didn’t buy it. It literally fizzled out before the hoped-for PR explosion got a chance to get off the ground.
So why go back to trying to smear Joe with alleged Hunter Biden wrongdoings?
Probably for the same reason that the Trumpsters have been in court over 50 times in the past few weeks, trying virtually the same case over and over – and being laughed out of court every single time.
They don’t learn from their mistakes. They do the same things over and over, and are convinced that eventually the outcome will change.
Another reason is that this is a shot over the bow: We know you’re coming for Trump’s kids, so we’ll go after yours first. Then, when your administration goes after the Trump brats, we can say you’re just seeking revenge for investigations into your son.
And then there’s the most glaringly obvious reason: The GOP has nothing else. The “voter fraud” bullshit didn’t change the outcome of the election, so why not allege crimes against the president-elect’s son? (Which, in and of itself, is proof that they couldn’t find any ‘dirt’ on the president-elect himself.)
Just remember that all of Trump’s sycophants have been focused on Hunter Biden for months – and all they’ve come up with is nothing. If they actually had anything, they would have disclosed it before Biden was elected, not after.
Don’t be fooled. The Hunter Biden story is just another tale to be told by people who spin lies for a living.
