In fact, if it's not the most famous few minutes in television, it should be. In case you're not familiar, and want to find it, it's available on YouTube, and some keywords are Will McAvoy, rant, and, of course, Newsroom.

In this, he has occasion to sum up the last 40 years in a few words: "We used to wage war on poverty, not on poor people."

He says a lot more, but that is the operative sentence ATM.
