The National Defense Authorization Act passed over Trump's veto has a new money laundering measure requiring the Treasury to gather and maintain a list of the beneficiaries of all shell corporations. With a few quick acts Dems should be able to make most political donations transparent. No more dark money for the large part.

Prohibit campaign donations from LLCs or corporations not registered with the U.S. Treasury. Mandate up-front disclosure of those that control the donating entity.
