8. Trump is actually leaving hours earlier than a departing President normally does.

I've always understood that nothing at all is packed up until the outgoing President, First Lady, and any other resident family members go to Capitol Hill for the swearing in. As soon as they leave, hordes of packers and movers show up, quickly move everything old out, and then everything for the incoming family gets put in place. In normal times, all of the ceremonial stuff and the lunch with Congress and then the Parade take up many hours, they then arrive into their new home with every single thing in place.

This time, with Trump leaving town at about 8am tomorrow (or so I was told by Rachel Maddow) the packers and movers will actually get quite a head start on things.
