There are at least five Democrats named as likely to run in the primary next year, but any donation you make now would be used by Smith to run against other Democrats.

The current list according to Politics1:

Kerry Donovan (D) - State Sen President Pro Tempore & Ex-Vail City Councilwoman
Dylan Roberts (D) - State Rep. & Attorney
Gregg Smith (D) - Rancher, Businessman & USMC Veteran
Donald Valdez (D) - State Rep., Farmer & Rancher
Colin Wilhelm (D) - Attorney & '20 St Rep Nominee
