I remember one of the videos that made the rounds. It was a single mom with two or three children who was on welfare. She felt she was doing her part for society by bringing children into the world and raising them to be good citizens.

I don't argue that she was a good mom. I am saying that it is easy to win over votes in this country, when people feel like the system is being gamed. They don't have to be doing it in actuality. It's just the perception that will help the Republicans win over the swing voters.
