In reply to the discussion: Now we can see why Speaker Pelosi held back the article of impeachment until Senate Dems took over [View all]localroger
(3,622 posts)12. It's been like watching a whole different Democratic party
For my entire life I've watched Dem Presidents and Congresses play Charlie Brown to the Republicans' Lucy, timidly trying to get a shot at the football even after it's been clear for generations that the other side is only interested in their annihilation. Biden had a ringside seat for this show for eight years as VP, and Grandpa ain't taking it any more. Pelosi never did. Schumer has enough of Mitch's knives sticking out of his back to attract a female porcupine. And they've all finally had it. It's like watching the final scene of Back to the Future where Marty returns to 1985 to find his father has grown a spine and is Biff's boss now. I wonder if I should see what's in the garage now.

They voted yes today, but I have no doubt they would have voted with McConnell

She should be giving seminars on political strategy and legislating to all the new young members.

Honestly - and I know this might cost me my designation as "political enthusiast" - but...
