7. We need a national voting law.

I really hope that next year a Democratic president and a Democratic Congress will pass a national voting law that will standardize registration, early voting, voting times, etc.

The federal government has the power to regulate federal elections throughout the entire nation, that is elections for president, the House of Representatives and the Senate. The states will surely go along for their state offices as well.

U.S. citizens in the whole country ought to have the same rights to vote everywhere ... not dependent upon extremist Repuglican legislatures in particular states (or even the whims of Democratic legislatures, too, for that matter).
