The casts, boots, walker, cane, etc that he will be using for months are horrible for the back.
And the knees.

And we don't know if the accident itself did any damage to the back.
They had to take care of the most pressing injuries first.

Yes he will walk again, at some point.
But not sure if he will play world class golf again.
