(57,455 posts)Since current thinking among them seems to be that crazy is good, and stark raving loony is better, the speakers outdid themselves in trying to put on an "I'm-even-crazier-than-he-is" show, hoping the next Sheldon Adelson (or even his widow) will shower them with dark PAC money in reward for their performance. This wasn't a political rally. It was an audition for financing for the 2024 presidential campaign.
If their rank-and-file voter base ever should come to the conclusion that this kind of lunacy is getting them nowhere, we will all marvel at how the Javits-Dirksen-Ford version of the Republican politician will be cloned from past dead DNA, like a Republican version of Jurassic Park. For THAT to happen, though, Fox Noise and National Hate Radio would have to come to the same conclusion. That could take a while. The "National" in National Hate Radio is probably best pronounced in German and abbreviated by using only the first two syllables.
If you don't know German, "National" in German is spelled the same as in French (the original) and English, but pronounced "NAH-tsee-oh-NAHL." If you take only the first two syllables, you see where a familiar name from the past comes from.
And by the way, they aren't REALLY upset about their stage being compared to the exact shape of a runic figure used by Hitler's SS on their uniform lapels. After all, THEY designed it. They are merely upset that WE noticed, and said so.
