He will probably have to resign because Democrats will demand it. And the Democratic Party in NY will suffer because of it. Republicans here will run on how our Democratic Governor was a sexual predator and Dems can't be trusted. That Democrats held someone accountable will be ignored.
On the other hand, no Republican called out Trump for being a much worse sexual predator and rapist, he won the election even after the Access Hollywood tape, and there were no repercussions to the GOP's silence about Trump's behavior.
The sad truth is doing the right thing will not be politically advantageous.

Why would he resign? NY has no recall. It would take 2/3 of the NY Senate to impeach him.
