23. Bad reaction

I'm 2 weeks from Moderna #2 & I had a terrible reaction to it.
First one, not too bad; sore arm mostly.
2nd one, I am just now recovering from the pneumonia that kicked in a few days after shot #2.
Very hard to explain pneumonia: no sinus trouble, no cold, no flu, tested negative for covid, practically no exposure to anything from anybody in the world, no sickness in the household, no swallowing problems ....

That is/was as bad or worse than a typical covid infection as far as I can tell. I can only hope that this vax keeps me from getting a lung - attacking version of covid or long covid, but as preventative of a typical illness, it was a bust.

So far no one is willing to look deeper into what the cause is (presumably a bacterium ran wild for the actual infection, but who knows). Hoping it will just continue to go away. It's going to be a while for recovery.

I'm telling people to push for the J&J. At least you're only spinning the Russian roulette wheel once with these EUA vaccines.
