What I can find:
Congressman Mario Biaggi, who was charged and convicted in 1987 of accepting illegal gratuities and obstruction of justice, sentenced to 2-1/2 years in prison. He was facing expulsion so he resigned. In 1988 he was also convicted of corruption/racketeering and sentenced to another 8 years in prison. The prosecutor was Rudy Giuliani.
Mario Cuomo was Governor when Mario Biaggi was convicted in 1987/1988

Just wondering if anyone recalls more on this case of corruption & racketeering by Biaggi.
Was Congressman Mario Biaggi in with the NY mob as well?
NY's history of mob corruption & bribes & is just fascinating.
Just asking.
Thanks
