all because her grandad was apparently shady. They are completely ignoring that she is self-made and has worked hard and stayed clear of corruption. She also is a Hillary Clinton protege, to me, that says a lot of positive things about her, even if I had not read her impressive track record of advocacy even before she became a recently minted politician. In my view, she is the type of Democrat that we need in office.

Yes, I too found many of the posts in this thread to be disgusting. I didn’t see the actual OP itself, but the attacks on Ms. Biaggi were off-putting.

I can’t believe some of the things that I have read on DU concerning Cuomo’s accusers, from “why did they wait so long to come forward” to “there must be a hidden payoff somewhere” to “she is now raising PAC money”. The fact is the vast majority of sexually harassed and assaulted women do not come forward, can that be because they know that their credibility will be attacked by people that they would have expected to be more neutral?

When I talk about sexual harassment, I am not talking about the frequent cases where a person may have a romantic interest in a person who doesn’t share that feeling, but who back off once no interest is made clear. I am talking about using one’s position to impose on a person, even after that person has made it clear that she or he is uncomfortable with the undesired attention and want it stopped.
