I am really just in a momentary funk. I am really an optimist. If a person were to actually write down all of his perceived problems every day for a couple of weeks and then go back and look at that list, one would find that most of those perceived problems weren't really problems at all. You see, I do draw the ball a tad though, not really a hook.

Last year I played in our member guest with an 88 year old, he is good, I was 73. We play 9 holes scramble, 9 holes better ball, and 9 holes alternate shot. We shot 38 in the alternate shot, par 36. We finished 2nd place in the championship flight. I played my heart out more so for my partner than for myself. He keeps telling me that he usually wins something and that this may be his last year playing. People like him are still around who inspire me.
