53. I'm white and in almost 30 years of driving I've only been pulled over once

for driving with New Jersey plates in Oklahoma. The cop didn't even pretend that there was an actual reason for pulling me over. He just checked my license and registration (and probably skin color) and sent me on my way. Suspect that's a whole other kettle of profiling that goes on and since it was 3 am and I don't think he could see me before he pulled me over the thought process was probably New Jersey = urban = black = let's see what's going on here.
