We have plenty of capable spokespeople. Think of Lieu, Schiff, Swalwell, etc. If we have too many grandstanders trying to take the limelight from the Biden White House, it risks giving the impression of weak leadership and internal strife bubbling just below (or even above!) the surface. The kind of steady low-key full speed ahead leadership Biden is exhibiting is what propelled Angela Merkel to four terms against smug sloganeering men who thought "Mutti (Mama) Merkel" was a pushover just begging to be pushed over. If she had wanted a fifth term, it was hers for the asking.
