In reply to the discussion: Judge Denies Britney Spears' Request to Remove Father From Conservatorship [View all]qazplm135
(7,447 posts)13. let's assume the other side
that the judge had evidence that:
1. She would be prey to others if she managed her own affairs.
2. She would be incapable of properly taking care of her own affairs possibly leading to loss of some or all of her assets and money
3. The father was not, at least on the face, substantially taking advantage of the situation financially (i.e. not draining her account, or not keeping her in a state of poverty or destitution).
If true, that might suggest that she does not have "full mental capacity."
Bottom line is, I don't know, but I tend to trust a female Democratic judge on stuff like this to be honest, particularly when I don't have remotely the information she had.

OP
It is possible. I researched the judge and she seems to have nothing to suggest questionable

Thanks for that. I don't care about her, but the precedent it sets for other judges and women

Maybe there is some evidence or documentation that Spears still has strong issues?

It's sort of odd that as a child performer she was better protected form her parents

"the judge cannot make any ruling based on what she said as she still has yet to file a petition
