8. I am VERY tempted to print out a note and put it in every door

in my small neighborhood. Not sure if I'll do it -- and I'd want to put them in late at night (I don't do mornings) so as to fly under the radar.

It really is selfishness. We are in severe drought here, and they should know that. And if they don't, well too bad. Ignorance is no excuse.

My cat is apprehensive, but not as freaked out as she was about three days ago. Which is interesting. She must be getting a bit used to the noise. And here's what's more interesting: I have my home cleaned by Merry Maids every other week. My cat is completely unaffected by the vacuum cleaner. In fact, she's totally fascinated by the cleaners and all their equipment and is sort of a mascot for them. Merry Maids is wonderful. I am so grateful I can afford them, because I do not like doing house cleaning, am not at all good at it, but prefer to live in a clean home. Hence, Merry Maids.
