own with neighbors when I was a child....careful adult supervision of course. We set off fireworks with our own kids even now...and are very careful. We don't have a drought here, and there is no risk of fire. They are not legal here but, there is no enforcement. Personally, I think there is much overreaction here about fireworks. It is the fourth of July, folks. And my dogs are fine. I have two Poms and one Jack Russell.
