They know better (and you know deep down that they do), but they're seeking validation from like-minded persons who believe what they believe despite every attempt by others to convince them otherwise. Their god(s) of idolatry are rightwing nut jobs spewing the gospel of Q and tRump.
I stopped caring about these cretins months ago. Back then I was frustrated at their obstinance, but months on now - long after the vaccine uptake in this country took hold and there was concrete evidential proof that they were safe and very effective in preventing infection, or at the very least, preventing such severe infections that resulted in the suffers' deaths, the perpetual naysayers are still digging in their collective heels and refusing to save themselves and their families from the ravages of this illness. It's not only profoundly stupid, it's selfish grandstanding for a "cause". I no long care about them, whether their true believe status is for a political or a religious cause.
