stating they would not run for reelection. All top Democrats including Newsom should endorse that person - even as they argue against a recall.

It is a selfish strategy to ask Democrats to NOT vote in what could be the election of a governor. Second thing is when this is over, they need to change the way the two things happen together - especially that it allows someone with almost no support could become governor.
