But be prepared - if Garland and his team do put out such a warning, they will be attacked by some for "not doing anything," just "issuing meaningless statements that don't change anything" - as they were earlier this week when they warned that they would aggressively prosecute anyone who used violence or intimidation to interfere with women's rights to obtain an abortion.

"What's the big deal? It's already a crime to do that, so this is nothing new. Why don't they DO something?" was a common refrain. I suspect the warning you're suggesting would meet the same reaction in some quarters. "More words ... DO something!"
