I think that some low-information voters are just that clueless and reflexively pull the "R" lever because that's what they've done all their lives and don't realize what the GOP stands for now. Not saying that they've ever been a "good" party but some of them were decent and honorable and did some good things. I don't know if they know or accept that the GOP today is as hideous as it has become. Other times, I think that they willingly overlook all of the bad stuff because they strongly agree with *one* thing that the GOP fights for- theocracy, tax cuts, banning abortion, etc.
