Rice wants to wait for CBO scoring for the same "fiscal responsibility" reason.
Rice miscalculated badly when she voted "no" in committee on the prescription drug amendment. Lower prices for drugs trumps fiscal responsibility in our district. The drug price vote was unpopular here, and it will be an attack ad when she runs again.
Democrats had a VERY bad night Tuesday here on LI. I think the insistence on the CBO scoring was a function of those results.
As for Rice calling herself a centrist, I can understand that because "centrist" is the type of Democrat people vote for in this district.
