America may have more than its fair share of aholes, but these mindsets must be part of the human condition itself. There will always be those who seek truth and solutions through rational thought and observations, there will always be those who stake out oppositional positions, and there will always be a large group in the middle pliable to either side.

I guess the really amazing thing is that humanity has lasted as long as it has.
