In reply to the discussion: Alex Jones Says His Orders for the January 6th Insurrection Came from Trump [View all]Haggard Celine
(16,834 posts)Roger Stone or maybe a few people told Alex what was supposed to happen and I think he went down there expecting Trump to lead the people in some sort of protest. I've seen video of Alex there at the Capitol before everything went to hell, and he looked like something was off, like he was expecting something different. He figured out he was a pawn in the whole plan, and that's when he got out of the way. I'm not sure what they told him was going to happen, but he figured out that he was misinformed.
I'd like to get Jones's true testimony on what he was told vs. what happened that day. I don't know if that's possible, though, even if he were given some sort of immunity. We're talking about Alex Jones here, and his idea of reality is pretty skewed on a normal day. I think he was a true believer in Trump, though.
I had a friend who used to watch Alex Jones's show every day, and I used to watch it with him sometimes. It could be interesting sometimes, although I couldn't tolerate all that yelling for too long. He really believed in Trump, though, I think, and it looks like that faith has been shaken. He thought there was going to be a big change in America that day, and saw his hopes dashed. He's got a story to tell, if we can ever get it out of him.
